3:31 Update

Update: 3:31 AM

Just got off the phone with the Forestry Service. Fire is burning Southwest towards Crestline, rather than towards the Antlers Inn and Bear Springs Rd area (south of 189). Rimforest seems to be okay at this point in time. No structural loss confirmations will be available for an expected 2 day minimum, as the winds are too strong to make that assessment.

The fire on Ranger Road (Twin Peaks) is burning in multiple directions. When I inquired the Forestry Hotline about this fire, they said they had not received adequate information regarding it yet, and had not received any new information for the last few hours. I will continue scouring as much as I can to find info, I have nothing to do tomorrow so I'm pulling an all nighter for this one.

Fullerton Area:

Just a status report from me, the CSUF area is not directly threatened, but the air is very poor quality and is smoky and hazy with minimal ash. This is from the Irvine and Valencia fires, neither of which I have any info on at this time.

Info From NBC

All Roads closed, beetle infestation is putting the fire in a lot worse situation than would have been hoped. I've signed up for NBC alerts through text messages, so I will have information ASAP.

Homes Lost in Lake Arrowhead Area

Update 1:20 PM

Lake Arrowhead - According to reports, the voluntary evacuation has been extended to Crestline.

Shortly before 1 PM, the fire was reported near Fairway and Eldorado. Firefighter are concerned about the fire spreading past that point into the Twin Peaks area. Firefighters are also reporting water pressure problems near Sonoma and Black Oak.

There are multiple reports of structures on fire on Brentwood and Pinehurst in Lake Arrowhead and near Grass Valley Golf Course. Accoring to television news reports, at least 30 homes have been lost. Earlier today residents called 9-1-1 reporting that their homes are on fire. Dispatchers could only them to evacuate. At the time, there were insufficient fire fighting resources in the area to extinguish the structure fires. At 9:45 AM, a flare up was reported in the Deer Lodge Park area sending up a large smoke plume. At 9:53 AM, a resident reported fire at the rear of residences along the 26000-block of Amador Lane in Lake Arrowhead with no firefighters nearby. Firefighters near Amador and Trinity were driven back by the fire and had to retreat to a safe zone. The fire is crossing Brentwood as of 10:03 AM. The next threat is to Sandalwood.

1,500 residences are threatened in the Lake Arrowhead area, according to officials.

Evacuations have been ordered for parts of Grass Valley, Trinity Tract, Modoc, Dear Lodge, Black Oaks Drive, and Brentwood in Lake Arrowhead. A voluntary evacuation has been ordered for the Twin Peaks area. There are reports of large "milk carton sized" embers falling in the Twin Peaks area.

The fire is burning in the old wood chipping area along Highway 173 and spreading westward. Structure protection task forces are in the Brentwood, Sanoma, and Trinity areas of Lake Arrowhead.

Grass Valley Road is closed at Five Points. Many roads are blocked in the area due to downed power lines and tree. Downed phone lines are preventing residents from being notified of the evacuations from the automated TENS calling system.

As of 9 AM, the fire was reported to be about 200 acres in size with a rapid rate of spread and no containment. It is burning to the northwest side of Grass Valley Road and the northwest side of Edge Cliff Drive near the power plant area, according to scanner reports. Oops.

Well, it would seem I forgot to update this for quite some time. Mainly because it's been uneventful here, other than people being stupid and the Battle of the Buildings (also people being stupid). I'm beginning to despise most of the people who live in the dorms, as well as the fact that nothing is open around here after about 5. Apparently, campus thinks that nobody who lives here needs to eat food after 5. Thanks a lot, y'idiots.

I will update with more later, probably Thursday or Friday.

Been Awhile

Well, with Monday off, I didn't have too much to deal with in terms of classes this week. I wasn't sure what to do about certain tings, so I'm deciding to just leave them alone entirely and immediately other than any other way - sorry for anyone involved.

At this point, I'm quite tired and have a pretty bad headache, but other than that I'm fine. I'll talk at everyone here later though.

Return...

It would seem I have come back here to find that campus is closed and basically nobody is around. I received no phone calls - except David, hah - all weekend, so that kinda made me happy. Like I said, I wanna keep as low-profile as I can get, so whatever.

It seems we have a new contributor who signed up and posted nothing, but I'm sure he'll get started soon enough. I'll keep working on finding an archiving method where each author has a separate section, but until I find something like that, all we get is monthly dividers.

Well, off to find something to do in this land of boredom - but Avenged Sevenfold will be keeping me company along the way - thanks to those who helped out, you know who you are.

Weekendin' It.

Alright, so it's Friday, 3 day weekend coming up - and you all thought I was stupid for having 5 classes on Mondays, huh? Well that's 5 hours of class I don't have to deal with this week! Mehehe yeah that's what I thought. Can't wait for more holidays like this!

So yeah, last night was a late night, was out hangin with some of the coolest people I've met in a long long time - a lot of good, deep discussions along with some...random?...ones about peanut butter and jelly and which type of PB was better...awkward.

Either way, going home in a few hours so I probably won't be updating much. I'm kinda curious as to what's going to happen next week with some certain things, but I'l take them as they come.

The transition into the dorms was actually quite easy for me I guess, but having some great guys living here always helps, as well as having my own room.

Well, gonna keep listening to Ministry of Lost Souls by Dream Theater for now, wearing my Dream Theater shirt whilst looking at my autographed Dream Theater stuff...I'm done now. See ya.

Thursday - A Day Off

Part of me is guessing that your thoughts right now are..."What am I reading and why?" Well, these are the logs from B-206 at the CSUF residence halls, and we're doing this for a couple reasons. First off, we're bored. Second? Well, basically it's just that we're bored. At least that's my reason - I have no class today, as I scheduled Thursdays off for myself.

So that's basically it - the general ranting, raving, and occasional wisdom of 4 college dormmates - in other words, nothing much worth reading.

Feel free to come back here and read at random times, if you like. Either way, I'm off to go do some Math 115 work, but I'll be back around later.
